Linen Care
- Wash prior to use
- Wash linen in warm water on a gentle cycle with similar colours
- No ironing required
- Do not place washing powder directly on the linen
- Line dry or tumble dry on low setting (do not use a high setting, as this will damage the natural fibre).
- Wash separately or with similar fabrics
- Do not bleach, dry clean or use harsh detergents.
- Avoid direct sun for a prolonged period, as natural fibres are susceptible to sun bleaching.
- Do not leave wet sheets to dry on wood, as this could lead to stains.
Responsibly Made - C & G values prioritise full supply chain traceability, from the Flax growing fields in France right up to the finished product delivered to your doorstep. All factories they work with hold specific certifications that ensure workers are treated and paid a living wage, as well as adhering to a strict set of environmental & social best practises.
Sustainable - C & G say no to single use plastic or other materials. Any other material used is 100% recycled packaging from the Flax growing fields.
Non-toxic - Carlotta and Gee have made an active choice to design with quality and health in mind, so no formaldehyde is used to set the environmental dyes, meaning less toxins for your body. However, this does mean the dye isn’t as firmly set as other brands, so it is recommended drying your linen in the shade after washing to ensure the colour doesn’t fade. C & G's dye factory is owned by the same family that cuts and weaves the linen, and C & G remain in close contact with them to ensure the practices that have been have set are being adhered to.
